SCJPS Conducts Tripartite Review for Second Semester (S.Y. 2021-2022)

On April 06, 2022, the University of Baguio School of Criminal and Justice Public Safety (SCJPS) held a collaboration meeting with its partner agencies. The meeting saw in attendance representatives from the Baguio City Police Office, Baguio City Police Office – WCPD, Bureau of Fire Protection- Baguio City Fire Station, Baguio City Jail- Male Dormitory (BJMP), Baguio City Internal Affairs Service, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, City Social Welfare & Development, Highway Patrol Unit, National Bureau of Investigation- CAR, National Police Commission-CAR, Philippine Public Safety College – CARTC, Regional Anti Cyber Crime Unit/Anti Cyber Crime Group, Regional Internal Affairs Service, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, and Commission on Higher Education.

The collaboration focused on tapping the expertise of industry partners of the university to improve practices in the academe and ensure that SCJPS graduates learn the rudiments involved in the practice of the criminal justice profession and prepare them to perform exceptionally well in technical and academic aspects in the fields of Criminology and Forensics.

The tripartite review discussed the following topics:

  1. Presentation of UB Graduate Attributes.
  2. Career Pathing of SCJPS students.
  3. Review of SCJPS Undergraduate and Graduate Programs Curriculum, Program Objectives, Program Educational Outcomes and Course syllabi
  4. Preliminary assessment of the Graduate Attributes
  5. SCJPS Internship activities.
  6. Research and Extension Services partnerships

The meeting is in line with the goal of building future professionals who can enforce peace, justice, and strong institutions within their community. Through forging partnerships with the criminal justice institutions of the city, the university hopes to enhance the education and training of SCJPs students and ensure that they can become competent future professionals in their field of study.
