The School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety (SCJPS) proudly celebrates another milestone as JINSP Clyde Jeric A. Busay, a distinguished Bachelor of Forensic Science alumnus, successfully graduates from the Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) KADASIGAYON Class of 2026. His remarkable achievement stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence, leadership, discipline, and selfless public service.
Throughout his cadetship, JINSP Busay distinguished himself not only through academic and leadership excellence but also by serving as the Battalion Investigation Officer of his class. Entrusted with a vital leadership role, he exemplified professionalism, integrity, and investigative competence—qualities that reflect the values and standards of both the Philippine Public Safety Academy and the University of Baguio’s Bachelor of Forensic Science program.
The Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) is the country’s premier institution under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) dedicated to the education and professional formation of future officers of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). Established in 2022 and located at Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna, the academy provides specialized training designed to develop competent, ethical, and service-oriented public safety leaders. Upon graduation, cadets are commissioned as Fire Inspectors or Jail Inspectors, ranks equivalent to a Lieutenant in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
JINSP Busay’s success reflects the transformative impact of quality forensic science education in preparing graduates for leadership and excellence in public safety. His accomplishment serves as an inspiration to current and future Forensic Science students, demonstrating that dedication, perseverance, and integrity can lead to meaningful opportunities to serve the nation.
