In its continuous efforts to promote environmental awareness and conservation, the University of Baguio’s School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety (SCJPS) recently conducted a Weeding Activity on October 21, 2023. Held at the picturesque Busol Watershed, this outreach initiative aimed to support the university’s Project GrOOM ME (Greening, Optimizing, Orchestrating, Magnifying Mother Earth). With their active participation, SCJPS faculty and students exemplify the university’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Through this and other similar outreach initiatives, the University of Baguio instills in its students and the wider community the values of environmental responsibility. By engaging in outreach and providing hands-on experiences, the university empowers individuals to become environmental stewards and champions of change. Activities like Project GrOOM ME seek to positively impact life on land within the city and take direct action in the fight against climate change.
