The University of Baguio School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety (UB SCJPS) is taking a huge stride ahead by proposing a new cutting-edge facility. The future structure is designed to improve students’ learning experiences and provide cutting-edge tools, reflecting UB SCJPS’s dedication to academic quality and practical criminal justice training.
To bring this vision to life, the SCJPS SINAG-DASIG Publications Committee, led by Jermyke A. Lopez and comprising members Kyle Letguen A. Balaso, Bernadette E. Patacsil, Eloise Angela V. Dumapis, Ronald G. Taberdo, and Maureen F. Carpio, has overseen the visualization and documentation of UB SCJPS’s proposed new facility. Dean Dr. Charesma K. Lud-Ayen visualized the designs that the team incorporated. The building will feature modern classrooms, specialized laboratories, and simulation rooms, all designed to support hands-on learning and research activities. Additionally, it will include advanced training spaces and serve as a separate structure, providing dedicated areas for special training and academic activities. Furthermore, an indoor firing range will offer a controlled setting for weapons training, enabling students to learn safe and professional firearm handling and marksmanship techniques. Moreover, a cutting-edge virtual reality room will allow students to practice simulated crime scene investigations, tactical scenarios, and forensic analysis in an immersive digital environment.
Aside from these innovations, the facility will feature simulation rooms for crime scene reenactments, cutting-edge forensic laboratories for evidence analysis, and smart classrooms built for interactive learning. A simulated courthouse will be available to assist law students with legal proceedings and advocacy, and a library and research center will include a specialized collection of legal and forensic literature to support academic advancement and research projects. With these advances, UB SCJPS hopes to give students a competitive advantage in the changing world of criminal justice. The hands-on approach included in the curriculum will assist bridge the gap between academic understanding and practical application, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to face real-world difficulties.
The plan for UB SCJPS’s new facility is a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing pursuit of excellence. The SINAG-DASIG Publications Committee’s dedication to this project ensures that the vision for the new facility is clearly communicated and meticulously planned. As preparations proceed, students, teachers, and stakeholders become more optimistic about the future of criminal justice education at the University of Baguio. Stay tuned for more updates as UB SCJPS makes this vision a reality!
